I’m thinking the main, if not only reason for Ben Carson’s popularity is to try to persuade blacks to vote for “our” black guy.
I like Ben Carson. But do wonder, if not for race, would he be considered a serious presidential candidate?
Having said that, would love to see him as Surgeon General in the next administration.
Carson is popular because he has a good heart, good head, and good message. I doubt that more than a smidgen of his popularity is attributable to his race.
