RIO HONDO, Texas (AP) A South Texas farmer has died after being stung by hundreds of bees while using a tractor on a field near Rio Hondo.
The San Benito Fire Department on Monday identified the victim as 53-year-old Rogelio Zuniga.(snip)

African bees just don’t like Texans.
Seems that way.
Bummer,
I know if a guy that had to jump in a pool in az to keep them off when he disrupted the hive.
On the other hand I have been in black clouds of them and no one was stung.
That is racist!
hate crime?
Was in a golf cart on the course once when a swarm of bees flee through. Husband and I didn’t move. We were just lucky bees were following the queen. When that happens they don’t attack.
Poor guy.
Alethephobia - I like it.
#blackbeesesmattuh
Everything is a hate crime today.
We stayed still for an hour.
They went away swatting them would have just stirred them up.
African bees just dont like Texans
They ain’t real fond of anybody, or anything. I wonder how many animals die from these thins every year after disturbing the hive.
LOL
I am talking, literally about black clouds of bees.
Relax... what ya gonna do?
African-american bees, if you please...
I had a swarm of genuine African bees (probably not as bad as “Africanized” bees) come by my helicopter while I was on the ground in The Sudd in southern Sudan. I was waiting on a 2 minute engine cool down period to end and the main & tail rotors were still turning.
Most of the swarm was sucked through the tail rotor, leaving it, the tail boom and the vertical stabilizer covered with honey & smashed bees. Thankfully, I got it cleaned off before it attracted another swarm of bees or “siafu”, the dreaded army ants.
Sorry, I forgot what really matters. My sympathy and condolences to this man and his family.
Tough way to die, tough way to loose a hard working loved one.
Good thing you did not have to pump up the accumulator to get the rotors spinning.
