Freya Horne, counsel for the sheriff's office, said Friday that federal detention orders are not a "legal basis" to hold someone, so Sanchez was released April 15. San Francisco is a sanctuary city and local money cannot be spent to cooperate with federal immigration law.

If I were the family, I'd sue the buttons of the San Francisco hierarchy and the police department.

The Justice Department should be a part of any such case.

San Francisco should have been challenged on this point years ago.

You beat me to this.
I hope this woman’s family sues San Francisco blind. Then fire this Horne woman.
Show these tyrants there are consequences to their actions.
