Yes, I know what you mean. I just wonder how many at least have the excuse that they’re too young to know shi’ite from Shinola.
Do you deny that the war was a holocaust?
Just as an aside. The New York State National Guards Sixty-ninth division has the rainbow as their shoulder patch..................................... The 69th Division was the one that met the Russians at Torgau in 45’, also known as Bilko’s unit on TV. The 69th Regiment was/or is part of the 42 Rainbow Division, the most decorated Division in the US Army, mostly decorated from WW I, that was commanded by some General named MacArthur. I served in the 42nd NYARNG, and I had ties to the 69th Division Association.
The 69th Regiment, the fighting Irish, was in the Civil War and WW I, and WW II if it was part of the 42nd.
The civil war was a horrible taking of lives on/by both sides. To put the dead Civil War soldiers in the same reference frame as civilian persons of WWII, mostly Jews, is for me a stretch of semantics and circumstances.
From the party that booed God at their convention.
They have stolen many words and symbols and turned them around, so that they cannot be used any more. This practice spans many facets of culture, speech, music, art, etc.
Gay.
This is a word that cannot be used by normal people. It was a perfectly good word, with a descriptive meaning, and if you use the word "gay" in conversation now, it is 100% perceived as a reference to homosexuality and not a reference to someone who is happy and carefree.
Pride.
I find this one illustrative, and I wonder how many have noticed this subtle, but significant change. Remember how there were "Gay Pride" parades, "Gay Pride" days, and "Gay Pride" "celebrations"? Now, more often, by government, industry, advocacy groups, and the "participants" themselves, they are called "Pride" parades, "Pride" days, and "Pride" celebrations. It isn't a stretch to say that nearly every single person who sees the reference, understands what it refers to.
Rainbow.
Rainbows used to be beautiful, a sign from God as this article states, and a demonstration of the wonder, depth, and beauty of nature. Now, if you see a rainbow icon anywhere, it stands for homosexuality. And everyone gets THAT, too. This appropriation by the left of meaningful things appalls, disgusts, and worries me.
Ah...so I am not the only one who picked up on that hijacking of the word “pride”.
Gay
Hello, my name is Indigo Montoya. You killed my flag.

tell it to the Smithsonian. Go see their display on the Civil War and read their number comparison - youre using semantics to argue against what you claim is semantics.
Yeah your right!
I had completely forgotten that event..
Bingo
Of course it was and they will get their just reward unless they repent and change their ways.
Six is the sign of fallen man in the bible. The homos dont recognize what they’ve done.
I came across that division in my history lessons. I was home schooled.
In the alternate universe where I live, pride is an emotion prompted by achievement which can be excessive. Gay is a cheerful and fun loving attitude. The rainbow is simple optics when sunlight passes through a raindrop which acts as a prism.
I recall from my Aesop’s Fables that “Pride comes before a fall”.
Many are the sins of pride.
Odd, I thought Pride was a sin, occurring as the chief among the well-known “Seven Deadly Sins” and as the worst among the Eight Grievous Vices catalogued by St. John Cassian.
Pride properly understood as rebellion against God, per se, there is something strangely appropriate about its current use by the left.
I think pride as levels, satisfaction in a job well done is hardly sinful. Pride in the biblical sense is excessive in degree. One word with several gradations.
