My next one might be a relatively very low cost, small, homebuilt roadster including homebuilt roll chassis (little experience there from my youth). Haven’t decided, yet, whether it will be front mid-engine or rear mid-engine. Leaning toward rear mid-engine, because increasingly more donor vehicles have front-engine, front wheel drive (works for a rear mid-engine build).

Will likely do a laminated job with carbon fiber as the surface layer for the body and subdued finish (lighter, less radar signature). There are quite a few open source collaborations including plans for building such vehicles (for those who can do mechanics, fab with metals and composites or at least learn much).

I’m currently on the hunt for a hot Flathead. The guy who built the car did a nice chop and channel job, but he put in a small block with auto tranny. It’s a good engine, but an automatic in a street rod? No way!
