>> There will be no widespread popular resistance to Obergefell.

If they stop at being able to marry, there won’t be popular resistance. Start demanding that two homos can walk into a church for the first time and demand a wedding or lose tax exempt status, and you might meet some resistance.

The church must separate itself from the state. It can no longer certify state licensed marriages.
The role of the church in marriage is to perform a ritual of Holy Matrimony in which a man and a woman pledge their lives together to God and seek to live ion Christ. This has nothing to do with state licenses.
Let the state do what it chooses. The role of the church is to bless the union of one man and one woman in Holy Matrimony.

RE — Yet some conservatives have tried to paint this cultural evolution—or even revolution—as fundamentally at odds with Christianity. That’s where they’re wrong.

Kohn is basically arguing two things. First, homosexuality is in fact compatible with the Bible. Two, most people will recognize that “truth” and accept the Supreme Court decision.

The first argument will never be correct, as much as she wishes it were otherwise. The second, given the generally decadent nature of society, particularly our clueless youth, is quite possible.
