For instance, homosexual marriage was thought ridiculous by both groups. Homosexuality was where it was supposed to be...in the closet. Most real leftists were restricted to academia their old stronghold.

Those "tolerant" liberals of yesterday are mostly gone. Now we leftists running the Dem Party and in charge of social policy. Modern libertarians are the closest resemblance to old style liberals.
I agree by and large. When I say liberal I absolutely do not mean classical liberal in the Jeffersonian sence. I mean Liberal in the Hillary/Barry/Al/Jessie/Alynsky/Ayres sense.
And there arent enough Classical Libs to form a bowling league today.

Then I remember that California, and especially San Fransisco, vote for this approach (perhaps as a means to depopulate the Earth), and I’m left hoping all liberals have enough of this lawlessness occur that they become life-lonh conservatives.
So, I guess I agree with the liberals and I, too, want to have a lot more murderous illegals wandering around California.
