For weeks, dozens of construction workers from Latin America have streamed onto the site of the Old Post Office Pavilion in downtown Washington and taken pride in their work building one of the city’s newest luxury hotels.
But that job site is now laden with tension after the man behind the project — billionaire developer Donald Trump — put himself at the center of the nation’s debate over illegal immigration.
Trump garnered headlines — and prompted several business associates to sever relations with him — when he launched his bid for the Republican presidential nomination last month with a controversial description of drug dealers and “rapists” crossing the border each day into the United States from Mexico.
But a Trump company may be relying on some undocumented workers to finish the $200 million hotel, which will sit five blocks from the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue, according to several who work there. A Trump spokeswoman said the company and its contractors follow all applicable laws. But in light of Trump’s comments, some of the workers at the site said they are now worried about their jobs — while others simply expressed disgust over the opinions of the man ultimately responsible for the creation of those jobs.

Oh, well at least the media are now admitting Donald was talking about ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION instead of the entire nation of Mexico.

Yeah, I’m sure Trump checks up on the status of every drywall subcontractor’s employees. Next they’ll expose the scandalous serving of picante sauce at his hotel restaurants.
This is, I suppose, the greatest crime of the 21st century, and probably makes Trump totally ineligible to be taken seriously.
Meanwhile, Hillary is selling classified material to our enemies and thumbing her nose at congress. But it's all good. She's, you know, totally awesome.
Time for Trump to fire all those contractors and demand a Federal investigation into the people running them.
It would never occur to the Wapost dipsh,ts that these illegals are taking jobs from American construction workers.

President Obama has seen to this “immigration” issue with his phone and his pen. He has given DHS instructions via memo to not enforce the immigration laws of this country. Therefore Trump need not worry if some foreigners are working for one of the construction companies.

There was just a great opposing views segment, on Fox News. I don’t know the name of the young lady, but the was great. Long blond hair, slightly wavey.
She was on opposed by a latino guy, who was just over the top.
She stood her ground, and was fabulous, and I really liked watching her. I admit that may have been partially because she looked great, but it was more than that. She stood her ground, and did fabulous.
