This Hollywood Conservative Just Slapped Down The PC Left With An Epic Confederate Flag Rant
http://www.westernjournalism.com ^ | July 6, 2015 | Norvell Rose

As Western Journalism reported last week, pro golfer and two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson has vowed to remove the image of the Confederate flag from the classic General Lee car he bought after the TV show The Dukes of Hazzard ceased production. Watson has said he’ll replace the Confederate flag atop the iconic Dodge Charger with an American flag — a move that drew a fair amount of criticism on social media from folks who believe the golfer caved to the PC purge some argue is now in full force.

The cable network TV Land has also shown its PC colors by yanking reruns of The Dukes of Hazzard from its programming lineup — not citing any offensive content of the show in terms of racist characters or themes, just the controversy over the flag that adorned the bright orange car in which the Duke boys drove around fictional Hazzard County.

Now, Christian actor and outspoken Hollywood conservative Kevin Sorbo has jumped into the controversy over the Confederate flag and the disappearance of the Dukes from television. An actor and director best known for his title role in TV’s Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, in addition to the recent movie God’s Not Dead, Sorbo cut loose with an epic rant on his Facebook page in which he slammed the “PC crowd” as “nuts,” “insane,” and “crazy” for pulling The Dukes of Hazzard.

Sorbo wondered what’s next to be purged — Hogan’s Heros, The Jeffersons, All in the Family?

Sorbo’s anger at the media’s political correctness obviously struck a chord and was generally well-received, as evidenced by what commenters had to say about his emotion-packed rant. Below, you can see what the actor had to say, as well as take a look at a few of the responses that raise compelling points about who was really behind the effort to maintain the practice of slavery.

"“Hey PC crowd! You guys are nuts! Insane! Crazy! Banning The Dukes of Hazard? Really? The Confederate Flag on the car? When does this stop?” Sorbo wrote. “Then get rid of Hogan’s Hero’s, The Jeffersons, All in the Family, etc. The list goes on. Chocolate is racist then. So are marshmallow’s. I am offended by everything should be the Lefts slogan.”

“By the way, we should ban the American Flag. It represents the pillage of Native Americans. Also Washington, DC??? What. George Washington owned slaves! So we need to change the name there, too.”

Isolate the South and then all the Yankee transplants leave?

Works for me.

Anyone remember the Sixties when all the hippies opposed censorship? They obviously meant censorship of their views, until they got into positions of power and became the establishment, now they unabashedly support censorship.

He hadn’t ought to give them any ideas, though he probably hasn’t, it’s undoubtedly already in the works for them to ban George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, etc, and make them non-persons in history texts. The left holds all the reins of power and they are going full Stalinist. Next they will photoshop pictures of the astronauts to make them all black, and change the textbooks to reflect this political correctness, because truth doesn’t matter when it doesn’t support the agenda.

They only put dead things in museums.

Ponder that.

Ignorant freaks, they obviously don’t understand that once the Confederate flag is banned, the radicals will have to find another target, there must always be an enemy and symbols of that enemy, the American flag is on the list, they just haven’t gotten to it yet. All of those who are crowing about the Confederate flag being censored, just wait, you will get your chance to expostulate about the American flag being banned as a symbol of oppression, and the slogan “heritage not hate” won’t do you anymore good than it has done for those of us who supported the C onfederate flag.

How about they just don’t give us a hard time about seceding this time, it’s not like I haven’t read enough of them saying things like they should have let us in the first place (not because they love the South, but because they think the South is slowing down the implementation of their godless communist utopia). I for one would be glad to go, and let them have at it.

That's probably true, if only because the revolution always needs an enemy tin order to bridge the divisions between the different factions, and for their purposes, southern white Christians make a perfect enemy. If they let us go, they'd have to find a new one, one which wouldn't divide their various identity groups. The GOP doesn't fit the bill anymore, as they've become the “Me Too” party. Many of them might as well be democrats-I really believe that quite a few of them are, who ran as Republicans merely to infiltrate the party and neutralise it as opposition, and help advance the left’s agenda.

Everyone raised hell when the NAACP got Amos & Andy off the air. Most of the hell-raising was from black families who loved the show. One of the greatest comedies of all times killed because of political-correctness.

The left has never been for anything, regardless of rhetoric

Actually, that is not exactly true.

Go read the Ten Commandments. The Left is for breaking every one of those. Fulfilling that is embodiment of their political and moral policy platform.

Think about it...

I am thinking about it. “Dead” things, you say?

The South Carolina State Museum is about six blocks from the State House where the Confederate Memorial stands. It is a converted textile mill building & looks like a gigantic brick warehouse with windows all around.

They could hang a Confederate flag the size of Rhode Island inside that place, from the roof girders to the ground floor. The argument over the size of “the flag in the museum where it belongs” will begin soon.

The battle is only going into its next phase. We’re already used to the NAACP changing the rules & moving the goal posts, so this isn’t Appomattox by any means

I am personally offended by the word “Cracker”, so I believe we should start boycotting anything that has the word “Cracker” on it, beginning with those awful saltines...

Truth is stranger than fact. From Wiki.

The original radio show, which was popular from the 1920s through the 1950s, was created, written, and voiced by two white actors, Freeman Gosden and Charles Correll, who played a number of different characters, including the titular Amos Jones (Gosdon) and Andrew Hogg Brown (Correll).

When the show moved to television, black actors took over the majority of the roles; white characters were infrequent.

It’s the cowardly, spineless republicans doing all the banning.
