Since secular marriage means nothing, why don’t they just get vending machines for marriage licenses? If you want to get “really” married in a church, then you go through the church’s process. I don’t see why people are needed for this secular process when a vending machine would work fine ... or online.

Does the city hall even bother to check whether one or both of the applicants for marriage licenses are still legally married to someone else? What steps do they take to stop bigamy from happening.
