'Give me a break!': Donald Trump blasts media in sarcastic, taunting statement
Business Insider via Yahoo ^ | July 7, 2015 | Colin Campbell

Real-estate magnate Donald Trump is out with a fiery new statement mocking the media for its coverage of his presidential campaign.

Trump's Tuesday statement focused on ESPN, which canceled an upcoming tournament at a Trump golf course, and NASCAR, which is moving an upcoming banquet from a Trump resort.

Both moves, the Republican businessman said, are not a big deal at all.

"The disassociation of ESPN and NASCAR with the Trump Organization was covered by the press in headlines all over the world as though it was a major setback for me. Really? What were the losses?" Trump asked.

He added that he would now be able to rent out space to new groups of people, boosting his profit margins, and that both ESPN and NASCAR would be losing their deposits.

Trump also extensively praised the properties the events were scheduled to take place at.

"One NASCAR banquet in a magnificent ballroom at Trump National Doral in Miami for which I will keep their very substantial deposit and rent the ballroom to someone else that night — in other words, two fees instead of one (NASCAR has already apologized to me)!" Trump exclaimed. "In the case of ESPN ... they lost a large deposit. I will now let people use the course on that day, receiving substantial additional greens fee income. Again, I get two fees instead of one."

This is where The Donald’s arrogance serves him well. Other than possibly Ted Cruz who could withstand these endless attacks, and not back down?

FNC is at this moment reporting that the PGA has just pulled out of Trump’s course(s) a tournament. Just a quick piece so far...

IMO his withdrawal from NBC is no different than Hucklebee or Palin not working for them while a candidate. The fact that it was done with fireworks seems almost to be a publicity stunt.

The Donald has little chance to win the white house, but let us cheer him on in his chops and kicks of the politically correct.

It’s been so long since any politician has had the courage to stand up and tell the truth forcefully and directly that Donald Trump looks wild and crazy for doing so.

However, is Donald Trump wild and crazy or are his fellow politicians inordinately meek and frightened nebbishes?

It will be interesting to see the first Republican presidential debate in August if Donald Trump takes part. He will bestride the stage like a colossus if the other candidates merely recite the usual Hallmark-card clichés again this year.

When they attack Trump they are also attacking us. Anyone who is fed up with the open border and the low life’s coming across.

I wasn’t watching, but I assume they were discussing the PGA of America - who was to host their Grand Slam (w/ 4 major winners) at Trump GC in LA.

The PGA Tour (separate entity) would be the big domino to fall as they host the Cadillac WGC event in March at Doral in Miami.

I’m not referring to Trump not doing Apprentice, which is appropriate since he’s running for President. I’m referring to cancelling the airing of the pageant on NBC and Univision, and the stated reason was Trump’s statements/

Trump has proven the following absolutely correct

“In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” - George Orwell

Trump just rebelled against the establishment by simply telling the truth, i don;t know if Donald T rump actually believes what he said, BUT, he did state a truth in a time of universal deceit...

This is not our country anymore.

Have ya been anywhere lately with a large group of people? A sporting event, graduation ceremony, sat outside at a shopping plaza and looked around at the people, felt the vibe in the air, etc. I mean, really looked around?

It is not our country. Not only that, it is hostile to us.

In other words, Trump is publicly saying that he is going to mitigate his damages caused by the cancelled NASCAR banquet, but is going to keep the windfall he receives from two rental deposits. That's....generally not something you can do.

I thought of a funny cartoon but can’t draw.

Show NASCAR stands filled with beer-drinking Mexicans or maybe a bunch huddled in front of ESPN watching a tennis tournament on their big screen tv.

It would show how off-point these loons are.

The PC crowd has turned into the PRO-ILLEGAL ALIEN - ANTI-AMERICAN crowd.

Good to see SUNSHINE on their faces.

Thank you Donald Trump!

Trump is suing. NBC broke the contract. HEhas already found a secondary source to are the project. Any financial lose he has will be taken as a tax rideoff

He is not allowed to mix business with campaigning. Since his business is partial celebrity fronted he is wise to just lay low with the real.estate facade
