The gun used to kill a 32-year-old woman on San Francisco’s waterfront was stolen from a federal agent in a car burglary in June, sources close to the investigation said Tuesday.

The .40-caliber pistol was stolen from the agent not long before Kathryn Steinle was shot to death July 1 at Pier 14 on the Embarcadero, said one source, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk about the case publicly.

Your kidding. A soldier who lost weapons and ammo carelessly would be court Martialled.

“WE MUST DISARM THE POLICE”

They already did this to the Sheriff that released nthe guy....

Sheriff Mirkarimi was elected sheriff in November 2011. He served from January to March 2012, at which time he was charged with domestic violence battery, child endangerment, and dissuading a witness in connection with a December 31, 2011 New Year's Eve altercation with his wife, and Mayor Ed Lee suspended him from office pending an ethics investigation.[2] Mirkarimi pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor false imprisonment

And had to surrender his firearms.

Anyone know if these stats are true:

“Over 2,250,000 Americans have protected themselves with guns since 2001, per two separate US government conducted studies. Another independent study puts the number closer to 30,000,000. “

Here is a quote from the SF Gate:

“If a private citizen left a pistol in the car and had it burglarized, we’d be brought up on weapons charges in San Francisco. But since it’s a government employee, he won’t get the same treatment.

It seems like parking violations and gun charges are the only crimes that will get you prosecuted in this city. That is unless you’re an illegal immigrant. Then you can shoot people and rob stores. But if you’re a law abiding citizen with a gun, you’ll get raked over the coals.”

So many of the comments are people opposed to just the idea of guns. They don’t seem to think that self-protection is a fundamental right.Bats behind the door is as far as they will go.

I think, too, that the Fast and Furious connection should be pursued. I’m in Southern AZ, I will be listening to the local conservative stations tomorrow and I’ll report back to what I hear.

We had a local DEA guy not only figure out the Mexican gun running connection but the Benghazi to Syrian gun running thing, too.

Stolen?

This isnt possible....all criminals buy their weapons without a backround check from gun shows.....or so we are told.

-——How about now that the weapon has killed an innocent?——

That would make the agent an accessory in the third degree to murder

No, I am not kidding, and He and his wife are even instructors that train newly hired agents.

This ain’t the old FBI.
