Suspected, alleged, etc are all part of our legal system. Can’t have a system of innocence until proven guilty without such language. Otherwise anyone can be framed for anything and convicted in the press.
All print media use the term "alleged" until that person is convicted. It protects them from charges of libel in the event the person is later acquitted.
Doesn't matter if he confessed. He is still facing a trial.
