Dems suddenly shocked by ‘sanctuary cities': Nothing beats a politically embarrassing murder
BizPac Review ^ | 7/8/15 | Joe Saunders

Nothing beats a politically embarrassing murder to focus the Democrat mind.

In the wake of last week’s shooting death of an innocent woman at the hands of an illegal alien on a San Francisco pier, top Democrats like Hillary Clinton and California Sen. Dianne Feinstein are shocked that Democrat-dominated cities have been thumbing their noses at immigration laws for decades.

And now they’re demanding someone do something about it.

“The city made a mistake, not to deport someone that the federal government strongly felt should be deported,” Clinton said Tuesday, according to Fox News. “So I have absolutely no support for a city that ignores the strong evidence that should be acted on.”

That’s a sharp contrast to Hillary during the year before her last run for the presidency, when she declared that sanctuary policies help “the personal safety and security of all the citizens.”

Joining the newly tough-on-crime Hillary was Feinstein, a former mayor of San Francisco (she left the mayor’s office to run for governor before the city’s “sanctuary ordinance” was passed in 1989.)

“I strongly believe that an undocumented individual, convicted of multiple felonies and with a detainer request from ICE, should not have been released,” Feinstein said, according to Fox.

Gotcha beat. Maryland is a sanctuary STATE. Weirdly, we don’t have all that many good Mexican restaurants.

“Weirdly, we don’t have all that many good Mexican restaurants.”

LOL!

We have one in our Cow Town of 8,000 Clueless Souls. ‘Senor Peppers.’ Quite authentic - but it should be - no one there speaks more than cursory English. ;)

I’m always torn on this issue. Yes, I KNOW there are criminal invaders...but my Grammy ALWAYS had a box of kids clothing and basic foodstuffs together each summer to give to the ‘immigrant workers’ that did the hard labor Ag at our place Up Nort.

And, my parents DID boycott Iceberg Lettuce in the ‘70’s in solidity with the migrant workers plight. Because that was before any other lettuces existed on The American Table.

But, then we all sobered up and saw what was really happening - and how our CongressRats don’t give a flying feck about anyone but themselves and their agenda - on either side of the aisle.

The term “sanctuary city” has no legal meaning, but it’s become a rallying cry for many with concerns about illegal immigration.

It generally refers to municipalities that have established policies prohibiting police officers from enforcing immigration laws or cooperating with federal immigration officials.

Texas law states that police officers generally cannot arrest people without probable cause of a crime, and immigration violations often are civil matters, not criminal cases.

She's just another Dem LIAR. She knew, they all knew and supported the sanctuary city concept. PHONIES!! But no Dem is EVER held accountable for their lies or their actions. Republicans are always blamed for whatever the Dems screw up.

“If making it easy to be an illegal alien isn’t enough, how about offering a reward for being an illegal immigrant? No sane country would do that, right? Guess again. If you break our laws by entering this country without permission and give birth to a child, we reward that child with US citizenship and guarantee full access to all public and social services this society provides—and that’s a lot of services . Is it any wonder that two-thirds of the babies born at taxpayer expense in county-run hospitals in Los Angeles are born to illegal alien mothers?”
Harry Reid, 1993, introducing a bill that would clearly end citizenship for the children of illegal aliens.

Of course, when Democrats found out the parents of the anchor babies were voting for Democrats, Reid decided that it wasn’t insane to give citizenship to the children of illegals. To the contrary, it was racist not to do so.

How can one of the most powerful senators in congress not know this?

Feinstein knows, she's just a damn liar. In the past when she has protected illegal felons, I wrote letters to her office condemning her actions. Useless, as I simply get a form response thanking me for my concern, that's all. No change in action, just lies.

These are places with high murder rates where no one would want to raise a family.

Rick the Hick was the first governor to pass in-state tuition for illegals at all Texas state colleges. Perry couldn’t carry Texas if the GOP would be stupid enough to nominate him.

Actually El Paso has one of the LOWEST MURDER RATES in the country for a city of its size - and they are NOT a Sanctuary City.

...not drawing conclusions...well maybe.

Yes, a few years ago (2013) El Paso only had eleven murders which gave it the lowest murder rate for a city its size in the country. Compare that to a city like Baltimore with a similar-sized population and over two hundred murders annually.
