then what in the hell are we doing?

Putting the immigration debate front and center. Also slapping down political correctness.

No. The momentum is building. People are opening their eyes. This is a phenomenon.

No specific “we”. Just whoever is going to be asked to vote for whoever is on the GOP ticket. I just don’t think it will be Trump.

I’d rather see more support thrown behind Cruz so he can be perceived nationally as having some gravitas. Perception is reality and right now I think he needs some. Maybe that will come after the debate. But we’ll see.

Trump is smoking out the Democrat lite Republicrats in the field. He is serving as a very useful screen to identify those candidates who would sell the base down the river. He is also giving voice to all those citizens opposed to open borders who are being ignored or vilified by both parties.

And if the answer to that is no, then what in the hell are we doing?

Trump is opening the hole so Cruz can run through and score.

...as long as he’s serving a useful purpose and making RINO’s, liberals and even Hillary squirm, then it all good...
,
What purpose does “squiming” serve if it changes nothing, as it has done so far?

The good news for Trump as mentioned in the article have his combined vote for 1st and 2nd at 25%. That's pulling away from the large presidential crowd.

"Trump looks even better as a candidate this week when Republicans are asked for their second choice," YouGov's Kathy Frankovic wrote along with the results. "When they are, Trump extends his lead. One in four Republicans who are registered to vote say he is their first or second choice."

We’ll see. I still don’t believe that Trump is serious about taking the job and the pay cut that comes with it.

I keep wanting to know who these pollsters ask. I’m sure it’s no one I know.

This is bigger than trump. It’s about telling the truth in the face of liberal fascism and sticking to it. that takes guts.

And Trump has shown more courage in all of this (with the exception of Ted Cruz) than the entire cowardly republican party combined over the last 10 years (at least).

Remember Romney's 47% comment? When it was leaked, I was thinking "YES!" This was absolutely 100% true. But then Mittens weasled out of it and walked it back.

Then. Right then I knew we had a wussy on our hands who was not man enough to be the leader we needed.

Come on. There’s no way he could be worse than what we’ve got or Jeb Bush. Even I would vote for him over Jeb.

I don’t know. Why are you posting an article about Trump leading in 2 polls
if you think he will fade?

I like Ted Cruz’s quote from the bible “you shall know them by their fruit”. Trump says he’s against illegal aliens sneaking across our border. Ok, since he’s not been in political office before, I have to take him on his word. Does anyone know if Trump has ever hired illegal aliens in the past?

“Donald Trump’s position on immigration does not seem to be hurting the real-estate developer’s standing in the Republican presidential primary.”

Why would it? His position is overwhelmingly popular.

Changes nothing?

I suggest you look at the reaction - from liberals and conservatives - over the Sanctuary Cities fiasco.

And who is hollering the loudest of the need to abandon that FUBAR?

(Hint. His initials are DT)

Saying what we want to hear and following through are 2 different things. Even if the RINOs jump on board now with what Trump has been saying - they won’t do a darned thing to secure the border if elected.

I would love Cruz to gain that support but it's primarily up to him. The biggest question of Ted Cruz is not his stance on most issues but how can he attract attention of voters?

Trump is sucking the energy away from other candidates - and I don't blame him one bit.

Cruz will do well in the debate, and so will Trump. While Ted is polite and quite...senatorial..... Trump is taking no prisoners and doing so in language that more voters can understand.

One of the primary reasons for Reagan's success was not just his stance on policies and his vision, but his ability to communicate that vision to those who were not poltiical junkies - which is what I would call the majority of Freepers. Cruz needs to find that mechanism.

Thats “the Trick”... make a poll and lie about whom you polled..

A Poll being a mini-faux election.. predicting the future..
almost like astrology the astrologers being pollsters..

Anyone that will/can believe in astrology can believe in a poll..

same level of precision..

PPP's NC Poll - "Trump's really caught fire with voters on the far right — 66% of 'very conservative' voters see him favorably to only 24% with a negative view of him."

Rove recently on O'Reilly showed Trump with super high negative at 69% or 71%. LoL Rove, he sure turned that around on you in very short time.
