I never understood the argument that blacks should not name their kids black sounding names. So what? Some of the goofiest names I have ever heard came from white people: Moon Unit, Apple, etc. Even then, what is it to me? A name is just a way to know who is who. It’s the character of the person that matters.
I read the other day that Blanket Jackson is having his name legally changed. There is always that option once they are grown.
