The fool from politico does not know, that most of the ‘drivers’ among the wagon trains of settlers, were former Confederate soldiers, who themselves later settled within the Oregon territory. A remnant is actual Southern American cuisine.
So, if there be racism, it is not from a modern day organization, but from the heritage of families of many years before the turn of the last century. I was not witness to any such thing, in my years as a resident in Portland.
