Its actually easy enough to deal with. Understand that any compromise only leads to their next attack and stop making compromises with them.
You let them throw tantrums like you would do with a child and then you let them face the consequences of their tantrums.

What conservatives avoid acknowledging is that we have no representation. Oh, there are a few Senators and some Representatives, but both parties are controlled by the left.

No, I think we all know that now. Some later than others,getting there though. I think that is why Trump is getting the reaction he is getting. I don’t consider the man a viable presidential candidate but I’m cheering my head off for him because he is the only one publicly addressing our concerns. The GOP should have possibly considered representing us now that they are so jealous of Trump.
This tis the point everyone must understand - the left is the statist and elitist philosophy. The right is anarchy and the center is where we are, trying to find that balance between individual freedom and collective responsibility. We have the difficult and intellectually challenging position.
We believe in God Given Inalienable Rights.
They believe in Negative Rights that require the permission of Government. God is not part of the equation.
There is NO common ground. They just sacrificed the Tenth Amendment of the United States Constitution to achieve their Utopian Ideal that Gay Marriage, a behavior, not an act of Birth like Race is now some Right that they were denied.
Freedom of Association, Free Speech and Freedom of Religion are the newest targets of Liberalism. They will not be appeased until the rest of us bow down to their Insanity.
I think that we should take anyone who wants to be in charge of this country and, without any assistance, seal them off for a month, and have them raise a Robin from egg to adulthood.
A little Robin. Just one. Until it can survive on its own.

How much light does it need?
Does it need to be around other birds?

I am humiliated.
God knows when a Sparrow falls, and I couldn’t raise one little wild bird.
I think that a leader needs confidence, but a leader also needs some humility.
I see people wanting to be in charge of nations so they can make themselves rich. OK. Make them responsible for raising one little bird on their own.

this will all come to a head with a 2nd civil war. it’s now inevitable. i think it became inevitable back during Clinton’s first term, but we didn’t realize it then. this country is fracturing even more severely than it did in the 19th century as a result of the slavery issue. there is no reasoned debate about anything anymore. the ruling elite are simply imposing their will on the citizenry. the left gleefully celebrates every victory of theirs by sticking their thumbs in the eyes of their opponents. it’s not civil. it can’t continue indefinitely. the day the left attempts gun confiscation is i think the day it all goes sideways for them.
I don't have kids, but my mother swears that the best way to stop a tantrum is a little bit of water thrown into the child's face. They may gasp and sputter, but they'll quit screaming.
Of course, a Leftist would claim they were tortured by water boarding.
