Point taken.
Vermont is one of the better states concerning gun laws.
Importantly, in many states, business prohibitions must be posted to be in effect. Assuming they don’t get posters and post them immediately, now would probably be a great time to open carry while visiting a Whataburger.
If they tell you no open carry, then you tell them “No sale. You just lost a customer for good.” Store managers get very upset when they hear this, and will likely complain up the chain if enough people do it.
Yet, the new Texas law only allows open-carry for those with permits. Therein lies the problem. Any court would shut that down fast.
they will, you know they will. In Texas, at the moment, only ccl can openly carry, that is the deal.
That’s the problem with all the baby splitting happening to appease liberals.
ok, yet... just because someone open carries, they have to respond? or a concealed carry? and they are held (or said resturaunt) responsible for deaths? The courts would strike that.
After a while, all of the 30.06 signs in town came down except one Stop and Rob chain. Haven't been in one since.
No they don’t have to respond. But if someone strips one of the option to and not the other, that’s a wide open door for litigation.
I know, just shoot them in the hand like the old western movies.
Or the head ;)
Whata(crappy)burger is the worst I have ever had.
I’d just as soon eat a half eaten Big Mac out of a dumpster, or eat some gut grenades from Krystals before I eat a whatacrappyburger again.
I kinda agree with you. I consider open carry a potential crime deterrent, but at the same time it could make you first target. Then there is the people afraid of guns, right or wrong, people are not used to seeing them and they feel threatened. Just because there is open carry, that doesn’t mean everyone doing so is capable of handling a gun safely, not to mention their temper/mental state. You don’t have to have documented mental health issues to have bad judgement.
In and Out has a very short menu. What A Burger has more variety. But they are just hamburger joints.
“Why do you need to bring a gun into a store where there are kids?” she asked. “We are not in the Wild, Wild West.”
Maybe you could call the police...oh wait, they carry guns into the store....where there are kids.
Boom, and that is what sucks....
You know we are pretty much simpatico on this, good to argue with you on this FRiend. :)
Read to article, Whataburger welcomes conceal carry.
Read my posts. I know that.
Intelligent debate is hard to come by on FR lately. same here FRiend ;)
