The South already rose again. Look at the skylines of Atlanta, Birmingham, Raleigh-Durham, Houston, Dallas. Look at the relative prosperity of the primarily blue-state North compared to that of the red-state South. The South has indeed risen.
It has risen above the Rust Belt. How many Southerners will move up north to retire there?

Look at the skyline of New York. Seems to me ‘’The South will rise again’’ sounds more martial than economic.
Well, if “falling” (as in “the south has fallen”) means loss of life and loss of prosperity and it was, yes, I do think that the south has risen in todays terms.
People stay here, people move here and we prosper from good weather, long growing season, great agri-business, low taxes and less liberals screwing things up.
Healthy economic growth is upwards.
High taxes, business loss, mass exodus of middle class, and high crime are downward.
Most reasonable thinkers can draw the line between those 2 comparisons and the 2 geographical regions.
Regardless of what one wants the various flags to mean, many of us in the upper Midwest are flying them as an affront to government (liberal) overreach. Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, and a whole bunch of us little people are telling them to Kiss My Asp.

Hey General, know what I’m doing this weekend? I’m buying a Confederate battle flag. Yup. I’m buying because even though I see it as a flag of treason and separation it’s part of our American history and if you erase the CBF then the Civil War never happened. Hell Bells, we could take it all the back to the “Don’t Tread On Me Flag’’ , get rid of that and the revolution never happened hell, why , America itself never happened.
