It broke in the news last week that many churches are questioning their liability insurance carriers whether they have coverage against lawsuits brought by homosexuals who are denied the right to marry in their churches. The early prognosis is that the liability coverage will not cover the churches in these matters. The LGBTs may well choose to pursue this path against churches which charter scouting units but do not recognize homosexual marriage. Will be interesting to watch the Roman Catholic Church - the 3rd largest sponsor of Boy Scouting units in the U.S.
