El Chapo's response proves Trumps points about the weakness of the US.

There must be ways to terrorize El Chapo. One would think the FBI would be very interested in making life for El Chapo difficult. And using Trump as bait, well that wouldn't be half bad. The FBI could hack El Chapo’s accounts, have the black gangs (our guys, i.e. FBI) take out the El Chapos minions (and let the real black gangs take the blame), etc. etc.

Think out of the box! There could be an opportunity here.

So don’t talk about what you’re actually going to do as President until you’re elected? Is it okay if tells us how he would handle Iran and ISIS, or is that off limits too?

By the way, I’m going to ask you a hypothetical question, just for the purpose of exposing your real agenda. Suppose Trump had used less colorful language and simply stated that, if elected President, he would make sure that Guzman was extradited and received justice in our country. Then suppose Guzman threatened him for saying that. Would you be offended that a Mexican drug lord was trying to intimidate a U.S. Presidential candidate? This is a rhetorical question. The answer is obvious.

The Mexican government will actively help Chapo sneaking back in to the USA to get Trump. Their entire economy would collapse if not for illegals sending cash back and gangs flooding the US with drugs. Obama would pick him up in TJ.

Yes. No matter the question, racism is the answer.

Trump was only picking on the guy because of his race - it had nothing to do with the dude being a murderous drug lord who illegally skips back and forth across our border at will.

;-)

I agree. About that issue, he is correct. He engaged in a bit too much hyperbole, in my opinion, but he is on target.

And I for one am glad to see he has changed his mind on the subject and moved away from his previous support for ‘amnesty’.

Trump spoke first. He used the guy as an example of the weakness of the other candidates and said he would be kicking the guy’s ass.

And by the way, I was being fascetious. The FBI should be doing everything in its power to take this guy down.

Apropos of nothing....one of the Fox shows had a Trump impersonator [John Di Domenico].....it was a laugh riot...... when asked about a death threat from el chapo, the impersonator said, *I don’t care, I can’t read Spanish.*

Let me say this if a man told me that he was going to ‘kick my ass’ and I responded in like and then he ran to the police asking for protection I would consider the man a ‘punk’ and a coward and would write him oft as not worth the trouble. This is clearly a charecter flaw one which disquilifies him for the position of POTUS.

Which proves that you don't:"know a Pu**y when you hear one".

"You are a lowdown Yankee liar."
"Prove it."
"Sheriff! Sheriff!! Help me Sheriff!!!"

I am more of the opinion that Trump is daring the FBI to investigate - in full knowledge that El Guapo was released, not escaped - and let the coverup collapse.

Think that too far-fetched? You KNOW what this regime is capable of...

Then you dare the FBI, but you don’t call out the Drug Lord and then start backwatering not expecting that you are going to have to back your words up.

Trump reminds me of Jesse Ventura both would be great spokespersons for Midol.

You didn’t answer my question as I suspected. You’re creating a red herring to hide the fact that you don’t support the substance of Trump’s positions. So you’re making a big deal about his style rather than the substance. That way you can oppose him without admitting that it’s because you don’t support strong border enforcement.

Anyone who’s being honest understands what Trump meant. It was a figure of speech. It wasn’t like he was walking down the street, challenged someone to a fight, then ran away. You’re not as stupid as you pretend. You understand this. But to admit this would mean you would have to oppose Trump on the substance. You would have to acknowledge that you’re against Trump because you support open borders. That’s a case you can’t make, so better to pretend, and focus on this. It’s like dismissing my arguments because I misspelled a word. It’s a weasley way of changing the subject to avoid having to defend your positions.

What question did I not answer? I don’t support a someone I consider a grifter and a con man. Does that answer your question?

Now if you want to tell me that you are going to kick my ass bring it on and I wait while you call 911.

I asked you a question in post 83. By the way, your reasons for opposing Trump continue to change. First it was because he made promises that he couldn’t keep as a businessman. When I pointed out that he was promising what he would do if elected President, your criticism changed to the dog catcher analogy (i.e. he shouldn’t make such comments unless he’s actually President). After my last comment, you are now criticizing him for being a grifter and a con man.

If that’s what you believe, then fair enough, but that has nothing to do with your original criticism of Trump being a coward. So make your case that he’s a grifter and a con man. That’s a separate argument from the one at hand, which you have gradually walked back.

In my last post, I made the argument that Trump’s comments were a figure of speech, spoken more to the American electorate than to Guzman himself, and that if you were being honest with yourself, you would acknowledge that. To make the analogy between what Trump said, and the hypothetical scenario of a guy walking up in person, face to face with someone, challenging them to a fight and then running, is absurd. It was a figure of speech by a man talking to the American people, telling them what he would do as President.

In your hypothetical yes he would have every right to ask for a investigation by authorities, but that is not what happen is it. How about you deal with what happen and what was said and not the hypothetical? The man made his brag and then backwatered, which is exactly what he would do as President and have we had enough of that already?

Fair enough. You believe he’s all bluster and wouldn’t do what he says. Only time will tell whether that’s true or not. But you exhort me to deal with happened, and not the hypothetical. I would ask you to do the same. What happened is not as you describe. He is not backtracking from what he said, because he was talking about what he would do as President. He is not President at the present time.

“Runs drugs into San Diego, threatens to kill a prominent businessman and presidential candidate, but the story leads with his “homosexual slur”.

Ask a liberal if it is racist to call a Mexican a homophobe, and watch his head explode! /s;)
