WASHINGTON (AP) — The Pentagon's current regulations banning transgender individuals from serving in the military are outdated, Defense Secretary Ash Carter said Monday, ordering a six-month study aimed at formally ending one of the last gender- or sexuality-based barriers to military service.

"But studies and other surveys have estimated that as many as 15,000 transgender people serve in the active-duty military and the reserves, often in secret but in many cases with the knowledge of their unit commander or peers."

I call total BS on this figure. There's an intitial physical where you're checked rather intimately, and when I was in, we had community showers for all in boot camp. These folks would have been discovered right off the bat and cashiered out.

earlier this afternoon...as I was out looking for photographs,that needed making....it struck me that this alleged intention seems so outlandish as to be.
impossible.

SUbsequently it struck me that perhaps the real plan has nothing whatsoever to do with the military at ll but might more likely be something of a broad plan to propagandie the populace in favor of this so called transgenderism

Talked all my children out of it. My daughter is on the fence she loves being a. Military brat. But with out major shifts, these institutional changes will,destroy my once proud service. I worked with outstanding gay service members for thirty years never turned one in. Never denied one a good report. But they are now a protected class in the military and are going after anyone who disagrees on religious grounds, very sad, but USA military no place for white, heterosexual, Christian males.
