If He doesn't punish America He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.
Actually, God doesn't apologize to anyone or any nation, but He does take His hand of blessings off of nations when His patience is exhausted. It should be clear to anyone who watches a newscast or reads a newspaper that the US has almost reached that point.
