A tweet by 49ers returner and running back Jarryd Hayne drew the attention of the Anti-Defamation League. Hayne, an Australian attempting to make a conversion from rugby to the NFL, tweeted that Jews killed Jesus. ADL, in a press release, noted that the tweet appeared July 1st and has since been rescinded.

“Jesus wanted to help people but was killed by his own people,” the ADL quoted Hayne writing. When challenged by a fan on twitter, Hayne then wrote, “The Jews were the people who took him to the Romans n forced them to give the order because they couldn’t.”

Just like the NAALCP, the ADL only cares about certain “injustices” of the groups they claim to represent.

"It’s not threatening, it’s just wrong."

How's it wrong? Jesus said pretty much the same thing.

We Jews believe it was Santa Claus that killed Jesus Christ.

"It was the leaders of the Jews that insisted on the death sentence, making them equally culpable, if not more so."

What was it Jesus said to Pilate? Oh yeah, "he who delivered me to you has the greater sin"

Boy the Sanhedrin do sound like they did have a touch of liberal in them. Might explain a few things. At least they fell into God’s trap and fulfilled His plan...: )

I don't think this athlete was trying to make an ethnic or religious comment, but to invoke the trope that any and every community has the unfortunate tendency to "eat its own."

The gospels were written when everyone was afraid of Roman retribution. The Romans were not forced into anything. To them, Jesus was just another troublesome Jew, and they gladly crucified troublesome Jews.

“Jesus wanted to help people but was killed by his own people,”

So Yeshua was a Roman?

Finally an answer as to what makes the HRCC holy!

The implausibility I spoke of extends to that ‘render unto Caesar’ quote as well. It’s not something a Jew at that time would have said.

Sorry, but I'll take the Apostle John's word for what happened. He was there, you weren't.

Tell you what, ADL: you have a whole lot bigger problem right now than some jock’s opinion on social media....the guy 80% of you voted for just sold your homeland down the river.

Wake up.

Well, technically he was killed by the Romans, was he not? Condemned and handed over, yes, by his own... it was a bipartisan effort.

9 What then? Are we Jews[a] any better off?[b] No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, 10 as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; 11 no one understands; no one seeks for God. [...]"

Well done, sir!

Life without parole is no basis for a religion.

Next you’ll be telling me we use the blood of Christian babies in our unleavened bread. 2000 years of telling a lie is long enough.

“Go look for pity somewhere else.”

I’m not looking for pity, but I apparently just exposed a bigot. I thought they all resided on the left these days.

Who’s the bigot? You accuse people of believing jews make pastry out of other blood if they believe in the truth of the New Testament and that makes them a bigot. Like I said go be a sympathy troll somewhere else whiner. /end comments.

Like I should have said. Spread your lies elsewhere. We didn’t kill your Jesus, we didn’t have the power to do so, if we wanted to, and we would have stoned him if we did. the Romans did crucifixion as a public service announcement - shut up and pay your taxes or this could be you.
