I have to admit, I looked at some of these... specifically the historical fashion ones and they were kind of cool. I loved coloring when I was a kid. My husband laughed at me. LOL
I look at it this way, there are worse ways to "relax".

Why should kids get all the fun. There is something relaxing about coloring in a coloring book.

I got a new printer last month and my daughter tells me what she wants to color.
I haven’t printed anything else yet.

I bought my 6 year old son a Senator Ted Cruz coloring book on amazon, but after it arrived I like it to much to give it to him. I kept it for myself.

But don’t you run out of “flesh” colored crayon in a hurry?

I have to admit I had a
completely different thought when I read, "Adult coloring book".

When I was a kid, I clearly remember a set of detailed coloring books that were famous paintings of the revolutionary war. Several times over the years I have wondered about where I could get those. I think I may have to search again.

Just make sure you don’t color over the lines. =)
I bet Obama has coloring books =)
To: grimalkin
I take it that some of these are supplied for the ‘safe rooms’ at college for the vaporous liberals to retreat to when an EVIL Conservative INVADES their space. Play nice and color WITHIN the lines and don’t quarrel over the crayons.

Nah, I use all the shades of brown, then when I am done, I throw the book on the other side of my fence. Makes me feel better....

LoL. My son has hundreds of these - he liked a site called “DragoArt” because they had contemporary figures from gaming, etc., so they were like toys to him after he colored and cut them out.
Then he discovered 3-d printable “foldables” online.... Fun!
To: Anitius Severinus Boethius
Did you ever encounter the series that had panes of colored stamps illustrating the various themes offered. Antique cars, airplanes, historical events etc.
Each page had text and a line drawing, but not the same as the colored stamp. You had to read the text to locate the proper stamp to paste and color in the line drawing.
Loved those soft cover books.

I was about to comment that the “Paint by numbers crowd” must haved missed the items, but a quick search indicates that they are still available and have a stout following.

But you can hang the “painting” not so much the coloring book page.
