MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Serbian minister said that the fence would probably help reduce the flow of refugees, but new smuggling channels through Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Romania or Bulgaria would quickly be opened "Our state is organized [in our actions] and we are significantly reducing the possibility that criminals are abusing and exploiting these people by acting as an organized state. Where there is no state, crime always comes into play," Vulin asserted.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced the plan to erect a fence on the border between Hungary and Serbia in June after official statistics had showed that over 60,000 undocumented migrants had entered Hungary from the start of 2015.

On July 6, the Hungarian parliament passed legislation, paving the way for the construction of a 13-foot fence along its 110-mile southern border with Serbia to deter asylum seekers from using the route to enter Europe. On Monday, the Hungarian army started to construct the fence.

Why should a nation care if a border fence goes up? Is it really that big a blow to their ego?

If Canada built one on the border to stop unauthorized crossing, I wouldn’t care. It sucks that it has to be done, because it would be so much easier if peoples of each nation respected the territory of others enough that you could freely move across to visit, but then be civilized enough to go back. However, people are jerks, so fences go up. Deal with it, Serbia.

All those immigrants pouring into Europe weaken Europe. They sure aren’t headed for Russia, are they?

It’s a similar thing that someone gets pissed at their neighbor building a fence. A...it’s none of their business, B...Why is that fence necessary?

Google some shots of the Russian border. They are quite serious about their fences.

And if you do manage to make your way through and get caught I don’t imagine they deal lightly with you.

It is funny because if we end up with Trump and we end up with a fence, there will be fences built all over the world. The world might begin to be a happy place again.
