In Trump vs. Rove We’re Going With Trump

Can't we do without both?

I think a lot of us have become so tired of losing to the left, when we get a whiff of winning we forget ourselves.

Any word on what the meeting between Cruz and Trump was about yesterday?

It’s really quite simple. All you need to KNOW is that when an interviewer asked Trump why anyone should believe he’s serious about forsaking his business and running for POTUS, his reply was, “Because saving America and restoring her to her former greatness is more important than my business.”

And as an aside; Trump has groomed his sons and daughter to take over and run his business without missing a beat. After amassing $11 Billion, Trump is moving on to a more important mission with which to finish out his lifetime.

Kelly had Cruz on her show last night, and I missed it. I wonder if she asked about the Trump meeting?

I hope it was a strategy meeting.

The GOP is quite effective at advancing their real agenda. If they didn’t have one, they wouldn’t have descended into the gutter to defeat conservatives like Chris McDaniel, using tactics they have never deigned to use against any ‘rat.

My guess is he thinks either Bush or Clinton would be bad for the country.

I hope you're right, it could very well be his primary reason. I'm hoping it's true, but am watching with a critical eye. The man is clearly a business genius who knows how to play the media and to the crowds. I'm going to watch as the process unfolds in deciding the depth of my support for him.

Debates and the long haul of the campaign will show us a lot. I still am bothered by his past pronouncements to simply trust him this early.

Exactly how I see it. I don’t know what it’s all about, and I hope it doesn’t wind up somehow biting conservatives in the azz (Trump being no conservative), but for now it’s amusing to watch someone, anyone, say the “unsayable” to the extreme discomfort of both sides of the Uniparty.

Sen Cruz dodged the question of why he was meeting with DT.

Kelly asked directly why the meeting - I noticed Cruz's deftness as he stated his admiration for DT and that the two have had known each other for a time... he did not provide any info on the Why.

As much as I dislike politicians dodge questions I admired TD for staying on-point and not divulging strategic information.

Isn’t this the story of almost every election cycle? Conservatives are so hungry for some dam against the leftist flood that we grab onto every loose straw. For Christians of the pre-Tribulation persuasion (of whom I am one), it makes it easy to see how the antichrist will fool the whole world into worshipping him, at first. People are begging for leadership and someone who can make a convincing “out” of this lunatic asylum we’re living in.

This GOPe tactic of confronting and fighting against conservatives is the absolute proof positive of who they are. They are “Party First,” not “America First!”

They act as “gate keepers,” filtering candidates who do not tow the party line.

Let's face it, the GOP is a closed little fraternity that one must formally apply to, be screened and pay homage to those who were in the club before you.

The GOP is a self serving entity, not and America serving one.

McCain’s words are proof of the truth of that. He’s not the most articulate or nuanced speaker, and forgot to hide the fact that his fealty is to “party first”, and his mindset is that we the rank-and-file should have fealty to same, no matter what they do. The GOP has cooked its own goose with conservatives by forgetting to remember why conservatives voted for them in the first place, and forgetting to even pretend that they give a damn.

Rove is two terms out of office, even then he rode in on GWBush. His white board antics come on Fox and I flip the channel or the mute button, or even turn it off altogether. Rove is simply irrelevant. Funny, I feel the exact same way about Dana Perino. Both Bush2 lackeys.

Trump is current and deserves to have his voice heard. More power to him.

To your first point: absolutely true.

To your second point: have heard nothing.
