To be a hip (misnamed) “liberal/progressive” in the modern world you have to assert positions you know are lies. This is soul destroying for those who do as the heart “scabs” over and becomes hard...because even a tiny morsel of challenge and Truth exposes the “emperor’s new clothes” and cannot be tolerated! So “Truth squads” in media and in the blogs are dispatched like Gestapo to pursue all glimmers of Truth and make sure it is “arrested”, suppressed, contained and hopefully destroyed!
