Authorities were investigating an "active shooter incident" Thursday at the Naval Reserve Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Fire Chief Randy Jackson said.
"Horrific incident in our community," tweeted Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke. "We will release details as they are confirmed. Prayers to all those affected."

They sure seem to happen at just the right time right on cue.....
I’m close to Chattanooga and local stations are saying one officer shot and possibly three or four military people that were in the recruiting center. I think the shooter is dead.
Most schools and malls here are in lock down as a precaution and all of the recruiting centers and other military operations are locked down and guarded, even as far away as my little town.
The good thing is that most shooters don’t survive long around here. :-) That’s probably why shootings like this aren’t that common.
There are reports on Twitter of another recruiting office shooting.
With the target evidently being a military recruiting center, I can’t help but believe that the shooter is either anti-military or pro-jihad, regardless of his skin color.
This will be a big story if the shooter is white and Southern.
A medium sized story if the shooter is black or brown.
And a two hour non-story if the shooter says, “allah ackbar’ while killing.
Not that the press is biased or anything...

They are all locked-down here but I did hear mention of another recruiting office being attacked. There are a lot of rumors flying right now. I saw on Fox where four marines were killed but I haven’t seen that announced locally. Erlanger hospital is asking for blood donations though. The shooter is definitely dead. They are treating this as a ‘terroristic type shooting’. Everybody is here including the FBI, ATF, and Homeland Security. Most banks, schools, malls, factories, etc. are locked down as a precaution.
This is a rare event in TN because so many here can shoot back.

If he is white and southern (and based on the last few shootings odds are he is a white southerner) we will hear about his mental issues and the story will be over in a few days

You do understand that “a white man” is a description of skin color, not religion and not always race. Even some muslims with middle eastern heritage have light skin.

As Islamic State took CREDIT for this attack BEFORE it was on ANY news, we now can confirm that they were behind it. No doubt Barack Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, aka Barry Dunham, will call for more gun control. WHAT an ASS! What an historic FAILURE as a leader!
