Op-Ed: We have Met the Enemy and He is in the White House (Israel)
Arutz Sheva ^ | 07/16/2015 | Daniel Greenfield

Posted on 07/16/2015 8:35:42 PM PDT by aimhigh

The last time a feeble leader of a fading nation came bearing “Peace in our time,” a pugnacious controversial right-winger retorted, “You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war.” That right-winger went on to lead the United Kingdom against Hitler.

The latest worthless agreement with a murderous dictatorship is being brandished by John Kerry, a man who instinctively seeks out dishonor the way a pig roots for truffles. . . . .

Obama began his rise by pandering to radical leftists on removing Saddam. He urged them to take on Egypt instead, and that’s what he did once in office, orchestrating the takeover of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and across the region. The Muslim Brotherhood was overthrown by popular uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia, but Obama had preserved the Iranian regime when it was faced with the Green Revolution. Now Iran is his last best Islamist hope for stopping America in the Middle East.

You'd think so. Here's the earliest use I could find of it:

Please stop with the rhetoric. I am sick of the Catholic Church playing politics. Marxism killed 100 million people (or more) during the 20th Century.

Our new 21st Century Pope espouses Jesuit Marxism that will lead Catholics off a cliff.

Whatever happened to holding the high ground? Italian Government and the Vatican are the Euro.

Our Marxist leadership in the White House and Vatican has sold out America and the free world.

Vile Godless behavior from our American Leadership and our Pope.
Was it not three decades ago a true Pope from Poland, a country that saved the “Apple”, gave Eastern Europe hope and change?

Reagan and Pope Paul vs. Obama and a Papal Politician
Dig deep friends.

Geeez, exactly what I was thinking— this guy doesn’t hold back.

You know, I glanced and thought the writer was American. First thought— watch your back. I mean spontaneous concern after a glance at the title and author.

I too, am afraid you’re right. God is surely coming, and he can’t be happy. But then I remember, He tells us He comes when we least expect it, when all are saying peace, peace, and the anti Christ shows himself. We bear up until He calls us.

Obama and Kerry have capitulated on every demand that the US made going into these negotiations. And they still claim they have stopped the Iranian nuclear weapon program. How ? And why help defend Iran’s nuclear program if you have made a deal that forbids nuclear weapon development ?

He tells the absolute truth.

Obama and Kerry have always been America haters. Any chance we can get the NYT to publish this piece as an Op-Ed?

This guy fails to mention the treasonous GOP which made this deal possible by unconstitutionally bypassing the treaty ratification process and “pre ratifying” the Iran deal before it was even negotiated.

We who claim to be conservatives need to make it clear that the GOP is every bit as bad as Kerry and Obama. The GOP is evil and incompetent.

Let that sink in before solely blaming our Islamic president. He could not have done it without a partnership with the GOP and every senator who helped it pass.

I am sick of the Catholic Church playing politics.

Politics is part of leadership. It's just a condition we live in, like needing the law of gravity to get to work in the morning. Anything that gets done requires other people's help—that's politics. JPII practiced politics all his life, which was critical to his work with Reagan and Mrs. Thatcher—both politicians—in bringing down the Evil Empire.

But St. John Paul's principles were up to the task of guiding him. He had studied philosophy. They're not all like that. The current Pope loves God, I'm sure, but he has never been a philosopher. Whatever his private virtues, he doesn't seem to understand the consequences of political and economic ideas.

Read the history of Popes and kings. This is nothing new. It's a scandal to Marxists that the good and merciful things that need to happen, happen through some very mediocre men—or at least by getting past them. Marxists claim to be pure in their motives, but even the most sincere ones only mean that they want a pure result. On the way there, they justify to themselves violating the rights they claim to believe in, so that good may follow. They reject politics in favor of conspiracy, because they think it's the only way. They're angry at God for human frailty, but the joke is on them, and us.

Judas, an Apostle, betrayed Jesus all the way to hell. St. Peter betrayed Our Lord three times, but made his virtues overcome his weaknesses. Christ chose to build His church on that foundation. Everything we know, secular and religious, shows us that it is only by wrestling with human chaos that holiness and perfection are possible. This is our Cross. I pray for the Pope—this one, and certainly for the next one!

Thank you. Great read. I agree with some of the principles here and some not so much.

“Anything that gets done requires other people’s help—that’s politics.”

“Politics”? I disagree as it’s “teamwork” and like-minded people agreeing with each other, in principle, to get things completed.

Politics is manipulation, to varying degrees, and is not the equivalent of “teamwork”.

Politics ultimately is about “the person” and personal gain... Teamwork get’s things accomplished.

just some thoughts but thanks for your read again. Great stuff.

White House in Hebrew is Beit Laben

An Aramean Destroyed My Father

Commentaries on the Haggadah contrast the evil of Laban with Pharaoh and see Laban as a symbol for political, sociological, and psychological evil.

"Come and learn what Laban the Aramean sought to do our father Jacob. For Pharaoh issued his edict against only the males, but Laban sought to uproot all, as it is said, ‘An Aramean would have destroyed my father, and he went down to Egypt and he became there a nation, great, mighty and populous.’"

just some thoughts but thanks for your read again. Great stuff.

I meant to compliment you on your graciousness and confidence. The folks on FR are the salt of the earth, but not everyone here can bring himself to appreciate ideas that don't track his own exactly—even if only for their entertainment value.

Best regards,

The Harbinger, have you read it? In your opinion is the author Jonathan Cahn grounded in knowledge? Or just someone with inklings of truth and a message gifted to him? Third choice does not need to be stated.
