"ROFL Good one =)"

Shows the absurdity of the day when what I said is actually true.

According to several sites, including the one I am linking below, Hillary is worth around $20 million. However, since Bill is worth around $80 million, the couple is worth around $100 million. Of course, we don’t know how much Bill gives to his wife.

My point is that since Trump is making serious inroads into the Republican campaign, we should look more seriously at what he has and has not done with his life and money. Is making money as sign of intelligence? I don’t know, but it is certainly a sign of something, and we need facts to figure out what that is.

He probably is only worth around $4 billion, because part of what he claims is undeveloped space, space under construction but not yet rented, and “good will.” Still that is plenty, and having read one of his books about 30 years ago, I have done reasonably well with real estate and actually have more net worth than several Presidential candidates, while never having held a job that paid more than $23,000. Of course, buying thrift store clothes and driving a 1990s car helps too.

Cheryl on Fox business said he was probably worth more than the ten. The form had a lower limit on property and at least ten of his properties were worth much higher than that limit
She also said that of the 45 stocks he bought last year 40 of them made hundred$ of millions. She told the exact amount I remember thinking it was at least half billion He would only have to do that a couple of years to finance a billion dollar run
So far he’s gotten free publicity with coverage on networks, tweets, cover of the New Yorker and the reactions to him from his fellow candidates. He also used his FB account several times a day which is usually shared of times
There is a good article from Ivanka talking about raising her children. Emphasis on not surrounding with extravagance and teaching good manners

My point is that since Trump is making serious inroads into the Republican campaign, we should look more seriously at what he has and has not done with his life and money.

Shouldn't we do that for all the candidates? Why are you so obsessed with Trump? It really doesn't matter if he is worth $4 billion or $10 billion. He is fabulously wealthy--much richer than Mitt Romney whose wealth was deemed a detriment. In fact. Romney was embarrassed by it. Trump has no such problem.

Is making money as sign of intelligence? I don’t know, but it is certainly a sign of something, and we need facts to figure out what that is.

There are various kinds of intelligence. Certainly, if you amass a fortune, you have certain attributes that make you successful. A lack of wealth doesn't mean that you have less intelligence.

Again, you seem obsessed by Trump's wealth, which comes from the private sector. I would be more concerned with public officials who entered government service with modest means and are now quite wealthy. The Clintons are prime examples not to mention the Bush family. Public service is not supposed to be so remunerative.

I am not obsessed with Trumps wealth, what is interesting is the large number of FReepers who comment on the various Trump stories posted here. A lot more has been said about some of the other popular candidates, so I just thought it helpful to post info and questions about Trump.
