House Energy and Commerce Committee leaders today sent a letter requesting that the Planned Parenthood abortion business make Dr. Deborah Nucatola available to brief the committee on Planned Parenthood’s practice of selling the body parts of babies victimized by abortion.
The members continued, “Given your statement that this video falsely portrays Planned Parenthood and the questions raised by the video, we respectfully request that Dr. Nucatola provide a briefing to committee staff no later than July 31, 2015, to explain specifically the context and meaning of her statements on the video, what comments were edited or not portrayed accurately, and to provide information so that we may better understand your organization’s practices and standards relating to the collection and sale of fetal tissue.”

The leaders also requested that Planned Parenthood and its affiliates “preserve and retain all documents relating or referring to the collection, sale, and/or donation of fetal tissue.”

As LifeNews reported, new undercover footage shows Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, describing how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of aborted unborn children and admitting she uses partial-birth abortions to supply intact body parts.
In the video, Nucatola is at a business lunch with actors posing as buyers from a human biologics company. As head of PPFA’s Medical Services department, Nucatola has overseen medical practice at all Planned Parenthood locations since 2009. She also trains new Planned Parenthood abortion doctors and performs abortions herself at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles up to 24 weeks.

Nucatola admits that Planned Parenthood charges per-specimen for baby body parts, uses illegal partial-birth abortion procedures in order to get salable parts, and is aware of their own liability for doing so and takes steps to cover it up.
The footage shockingly depicts the top medical official at the Planned Parenthood corporation munching on her salad while she discusses the sale of body parts of unborn children victimized by abortions. She brazenly describes how the heads of unborn babies killed in abortions command top dollar.
The buyers ask Nucatola, “How much of a difference can that actually make, if you know kind of what’s expected, or what we need?”
“It makes a huge difference,” Nucatola replies. “I’d say a lot of people want liver. And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps. The kind of rate-limiting step of the procedure is calvarium. Calvarium—the head—is basically the biggest part.”
Nucatola explains, “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
“And with the calvarium, in general, some people will actually try to change the presentation so that it’s not vertex,” she continues. “So if you do it starting from the breech presentation, there’s dilation that happens as the case goes on, and often, the last step, you can evacuate an intact calvarium at the end.”
In a video response to the heavy criticism, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards apologizes for the tone the Nucatola took but not for selling the body parts of aborted babies. Another shocking video exposing Planned Parenthood selling aborted babies is expected next week.
Over the last few days, nearly every Republican candidate for president as well as countless lawmakers have expressed their outrage regarding the video and called on Congress to defund Planned Parenthood. A total of five states are slated to begin investigations of the Planned Parenthood abortion business.
The video, which has been seen by more than two million people, reveals how the abortion giant sometimes alters their procedures to ensure high-quality “specimen” for organ harvesting.
Dr. Nucatola said, “You’re just kind of cognizant of where you put your graspers, you try to intentionally go above and below the thorax, so that, you know, we’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m going to basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
The abortionist also explains that Planned Parenthood charges per-specimen for baby body parts and is aware of their own liability for doing so. When asked about a price, she said, “I would say it’s probably anywhere from $30 to $100, depending on the facility and what’s involved.” Unbelievably, she admits that some body parts, such as livers and heads, are much more popular and go for a higher price than other specimen.
David Daleiden, the founder of the group Center for Medical Progress told CBS News, “Planned Parenthood is still receiving $50, $75, sometimes $100 per specimen per fetal part. So all of that is just straight up profit that goes to their bottom line.”
Don’t be too surprised if she suffers a fatal accident before she gets to the hearing.

I sent the below letter to a lot of papers and commentators, and if they use it I know there will be comments from people who will not see the sardonic nature of it, but instead will believe I am asserting there should be no moral issue.
My son noted such individuals when he looked at the comments for the letter I sent to the Washington Times which dealt with just Marion County.
“Do we really have a moral dilemma? In 2014 Marion County Oregon ruled they would not allow burning fetal material in their incinerator. Yet since Roe vs. Wade 56,000,000 abortions generated roughly 3.5 million pounds of this medical waste. Now Planned Parenthood feverishly explains harvesting body parts for scientific experiments. But how is that different from embryonic stem cell research?
These issues spark debate in despite of the Supreme Court decision allowing extraction of all fetuses not viable outside the womb. Therefore before viability, removing the fetus must be equivalent to removing any other harmful matter from the human body. When legality provides such moral certitude, then burning or recycling this material must be acceptable?
Scientific advances over the last forty years should not be a concern. Granted, in an office today one woman may excitedly present the framed ultrasound of the “baby” she and her husband have conceived and already named. Another woman looking on may have recently aborted a fetus more mature that the one depicted. However, doesn’t the legal ruling provide the assurance needed to celebrate both events simultaneously?
I am sure some will raise the allusion to cremating millions of Jews during the Holocaust or the Japanese vivisection of prisoners. However, such misdirected passions should fall before the moral certainty provided to 300 million people by the deliberations of the Supreme Court. Surely our intellectual soundness has evolved sufficiently that ancient religions or philosophies should not intrude upon our society and its legal bulwarks?”

Under the law, PPFA may recoup the costs of harvesting and transporting fetal tissue obtained, with consent of the mother, from an aborted fetus. They just can’t profit from its sale. Whether $30-$100 per specimen comprises ordinary shipping and handling expenses or profit is debatable. But the other violation seems irrefutable.
Cecile Richards, the CEO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, in a response video proudly declared that PPFA facilitates tissue donations but not for profit. She does apologize for Dr. Nucatola’s “tone and statements.” The money that changes hands is completely legal, Richards says, and even virtuous, thanks to advances in medical research made possible by the fetal specimens.
She also suggests that the viral video from the Center for Medical Progress has been “heavily edited” to alter the truth. (Here’s a link to the unedited video.)
But the sale of fetal tissue for profit is not the only subject of Public Law 103-43.
The law also states that the recipients of “donated” fetal tissue [the buyers] may have “no part in any decisions as to the timing, method, or procedures used to terminate the pregnancy made solely for the purposes of the research.” [Public Law 103-43, Title I, Part G, Sec. 498A: c-4]
And yet, Dr. Nucatola makes clear in the video that she, and other abortionists, have changed their methods and procedures to accommodate their fetal tissue customers. Here are some excerpts from the video of the conversation between actors posing as fetal tissue buyers, and Dr. Nucatola.

NUCATOLA: And with the calvarium [head], in general, some people [abortionists] will actually try to change the presentation [of the fetus] so that it’s not vertex [head-first], because when it’s vertex presentation, you never have enough dilation at the beginning of the case…So, if you do it starting from the breech [feet-first] presentation, there’s dilatation that happens as the case goes on.
NUCATOLA: If you [the fetal tissue buyer] maintain enough of a dialogue with the person who’s actually doing the procedure, so they understand what the end-game is, there are little things, changes they can make in their technique to increase your success.
Notice that Dr. Nucatola specifically discusses the use of ultrasound to let the abortionist see where she’s placing the forceps. To avoid crushing internal organs, the abortionist positions the forceps above and below the body cavity, necessarily crushing those areas of contact, but preserving viable organs in between.
She says that she and others sometimes maneuver fetuses out of the head-down position, to deliver them breech, because that way the birth canal has more time to stretch, and thus preserve the body cavity intact.
By her own words you can judge whether the organ recipients [buyers] had, as the law says, “no part” in “decisions…made solely for the purposes of research” as to “method, or procedures use to terminate the pregnancy.” . . .
