Can Donald Trump merely be an undisciplined bomb thrower driven by a massive ego? Or is there more going on with Trump than most of us would suspect? Is he so ego-driven that he would abandon his prior liberal positions on social issues and link arms with those on the far right? Trump is not an idiot. He knows he can't win with his self-destructive performance. I think what he's doing is preparing a pathway for the person he wants to win, Ted Cruz.
It's a brilliant plan really. Trump's attacks bring down the moderate opposition for the Republican nomination while securing the party's base for Cruz, who already boasts proven bona fides with the right wing. By complimenting Trump, Cruz unobtrusively shares his viewpoints while playing the role of responsible statesman, someone who could be trusted as president. With the Republican right wing in his pocket, Cruz would be free to court those in the center of the party, as well as the national independents who will decide the outcome of the 2016 presidential election....

If Trump is so ego-driven, why would he want to step aside for anyone? First, it was Jeb!, then it was Hillary, and now it is Cruz.
I don't know how many he has, but yesterday I read a Fox news article from 2006 which described a visit Trump made to "The View." Speaking about his daughter, he said she had a nice figure and he would date her if he wasn't her father.

Trump knows how to sell and seems to mean what he says.
I love Cruz, but he coukd sure use some Trump in his delivery.
Also Trump can get low information voters having been a TV personality for years.
If nothing else Trump is bringng up the real national issues that need tobe talked about.
When you have a ten by ten foot hole below the water line in the Ship of State, you are not thinking about other issues!
Let the Democrats and GOPe candidates talk about the "other" issues.

I think Klayman is wrong on the Koch brothers support. They were big contributors to Walker and indicated their support of him in the Presidential race awhile back.
Not that Cruz or Trump needs their support, just sayin’.
