Sgt Sullivan would have had a far better chance of saving the lives of his comrades and his own if he had been allowed to have a service pistol on his belt. How utterly, insanely, idiotic is it that our fighting men and women are prohibited from carrying the tools of their trade on the very American soil they have pledged to defend with their own lives?

God help us, our elected rulers seem determined to destroy our country with political correctness no matter what.

I consider it blatantly illegal to give any taxpayer money to families like that, but I would support military families whose family members were killed doing their duty.

I went through BCT in ‘69 with a guy named Sullivan who was from Springfield.He would be just the right age to be the father of the Marine killed the other day.Has anyone seen any reports of his father’s first name?
