Those that pile on are telling s a lot about where they stand and what they fear - right now they fear the Truth being stated/spouted/spewed by Trump.

I understand that the place goes crazy during primary season, but it doesn’t usually go crazy enough for a significant chunk of it to support a liberal — and that’s pretty much where we are right now.

And McCain and Romney — were they not liberals?

The nation has taken a hard left turn. Trump is an old-fashioned liberal, live and let live, but maintain the free market and a credible sense of law and order.

Today's Democrats in Congress are not liberal; they are socialists/communists bent on redefining the very meaning of words and destroying the constitution they swore to uphold, as if their vows mean anything at all. The Republicans in Congress are helping them along every step of the way.

Buffoons like Huckabee and Graham have slid so far down the slippery slope they don't even understand what their indignant condemnations of Trump's plain commonsense speech is all about.

Almost every member of Congress is compromised by an onslaught of lobbyists and awash in ill-gotten bribes from the moment they arrive in DC, due to their steady erosion of accountability and relaxation of the rules of ethics that should govern their behavior: Congressional "ethics" have long been abandoned and pathways to graft and greed have been made "legal" instead. The whole mess needs a powerful outsider to call it out. That is what is now happening with Trump. If he is nominated, we could do a lot worse.

that means that trump likes soldiers that were killed in combat least of all, the incompetent peons. they had it coming.

people are so blinded by their contempt for mccain to understand the implications of this lunatic’s ramblings.

************************************************************** I didn't hear him say that, but someone blinded by their own personal opinion and find McCain the mealy mouthed senator and one of the senators caught in the Keating five scandal could easily come to the same conclusion as you..............I don't think anyone on FR knows McCain's mind and but you think you do...and that you also know what others think. Most of us are not blinded by mccains rant and raves on the floor of the senate. You don't know Jack, John

You are ignorant of mccain and what he has done and said for years...he is crooked, a liar, not friend to conservatives. He thinks he is so smart anyone disagree with him he's quick to call names, and he has no room to tell others they are wrong if they disagree with him and his giant size ego,a man that is great in his own mind. But stupid to those that have watched his antics in the senate. I hope Trump doesn't cave and apologize for his remarks, He is right about mccain and to milk the pow crap about him being a hero is nuts. They have to bring it up everytime someone tries to cover for imbecile

As for Trump, you should be 1/10 as smart as he is...you don't get that rich by being a lunatic and go around rambling. But I do love the way he talks, YOUR FIRED.

“...you can’t be allowed to crap on what he stands for.”

But McCain crapped on what Trump stands for when he called Trump and his supporters “crazies”. Why is it OK for McCain to demonize, but not OK for Trump to defend himself and his supporters?

It a sad day in America when political correctness dictates that John McCain can not be criticized because 40 years ago he was a POW in Vietnam.

Trump did not bring up McCain service in the USN, Luntz did, Trump was being critical of McCain for calling Trump supporters crazies. Luntz keep injecting "But he's a war hero", "he's a war hero" classic PC move to shut down the discussion. Just like any criticism of Obama makes you a racist.

Folks should be very careful using PC tactics to slam Trump. All you are doing is validated the left use of political correctness as a tool for controlling the discussion. Do you really want to go there?

"That's all the evidence anyone needs."

I'm half a dope, I voted for (let them self deport) Romney, voting for McCain was just to much to ask of me. Even with Sarah on the ticket I could not pull the lever for John (Amnesty) McCain.

"Cruz is not bad either. He refuses to throw Trump overboard."

Sadly Cruz has gone over to the dark side. Yesterday he came to McCains' defense with this facebook post.

I have two theories; Cruz's fund raising was threatened by the Chamber of (cheep labor) Commerce so had to kiss butt for bucks. Or, Cruz thought (incorrectly) that Trump had jumped the shark over McCain and he (as a Trump defender) did not want to be eaten in the feeding frenzy along with Trump.

Or maybe Cruz is really just another typical profession GOP politician, just a little better then most at pretending to be conservative.

Whatever this is the most epic battle conservative have fought since Reagan, and considering the stakes maybe even more so. I expected Cruz to be 100% on our side and not kiss GOPe a$$. Very disappointing.

I know lots do not like or trust Trump, that does not matter, the battle is joined whether you like Trump or not. As Rumfield said, "You go to war with the army you have". For decades we pleaded for a leader that would fight. Well now we have one and now it's your turn to show up for the fight.

Trump is the light shining on all these mini Draculas known as candidates. Boy! They hate the truth. They are all infected! Each time Trump talks the light burns Dracula to a crisp.

How brave these RINOs are. Like Mittens in the 2012 primary season. Then when he faced zer0, he bent over and presented.
