Wesley Clark Suggests Internment Camps For ‘Radicalized’ Citizens

I've always liked Wes Clark. I interviewed him in 2005, when the topic of torture was new and fresh in our minds and he told me how disappointed he was in Dick Cheney. Our cell phone connection was horrible, but he called me back from the airport.

I say this because when I watched this segment I was as totally shocked as Digby was. I hope he rethinks his position after he listens to what he actually said. He's talking about bringing back WWII Japanese style internment camps to America, which has always been a blight on US history.

Give the government the power to do this and it will be turned against Conservatives in short order. Clark either doesn’t know this and is stupid or knows and doesn’t care making him evil.

“Wesley Clark Suggests Internment Camps For ‘Radicalized’ Citizens”

Damn right......start with Obama, Hillary, Reid, Pelosi, Biden, throw in several SC justices, all enemies of the constitution.

Clark is clearly saying something that could go either way if implemented.

To single out Muslims for detention in this country would immediately be called ‘racial profiling’ and probably be defined by the business, media, political elites as unacceptable.

Who is considered a ‘radical’ in this country? When I posted criticism online of the way Pennsylvania’s school districts operate with property taxes and high costs, people like business as usual school board members defined me as ‘radical’.

Once we create the notion that ‘radicals’ need to be detained ostensibly to fight terrorism, the cat is out of the bag.

Its like opening up Pandora’s Box.

First then came for the religious people who oppose gay marriage.....then they came for the gun owners......then they came for......

Must be referring to those poor prisoners at Abu Ghraib forced to wear undergarments on their heads and to be leashed like dogs. The horror. I guess that meme is never going to die.

Are we even talking about the same “radicals”?

To normal people radicals are mooslimes. To leftists radicals are Republicans (much less conservatives).

With liberals, there is never any “limiting principle”. Liberals threw Japanese Americans in interment camps during WW II and now liberals use that fact as yet one more example of why the United States is an evil country.

Unless and until a Muslim who seeks to immigrate to the US is willing to renounce those aspects of Islam that are hostile to the US, for our own safety we cannot allow them in. Since those are the core values of Islam, should any Muslims agree to renounce any aspects of Islam that is a death sentence for them because they just stated they are “apostate”.

Islam is incomparable with the Constitution. The only Muslims who take the oath of citizenship are either liars (taqiyya) or they are ignorant of what Islam demands.

I remember hearing about the camps for the Japanese who lived on the Pacific coast. ( I was a 17-year-old) They were hoping Japan would defeat us and they were helping them by signaling the Japanese submarines off the coast. That is why they were moved inland. When the war was over they were allowed to go back to their homes on the coast. None were shot or put in solitary!

It is absolutely implausible that the left Intends to use such camps against Muslim fundamentalists.

I mean it does sound pretty good and a lot of people would believe it but I don’t think anybody here really believes it.

Those camps would absolutely be for us and for independent journalists like Matt Drudge, Rush, Ann Coulter, etc.

NEVER LET A CRISIS GO TO WASTE.

In regards to Wesley Clark wanting NATO troops to open fire on the Russian troops at Pristina Airport....

The British general in charge refused, saying to Weasley Clark....
“Sir, I am NOT going to start World War III for YOU.”

..if he's talking about people like the ‘mu slim brotherhood’ or the ‘black panthers’ or the ‘kkk’ or anyone of this type, or the ones who caused the riots in Ferguson, and the ‘illegal immigrants’ and the ‘welfare and food stamp group’ then maybe that's not a bad idea....

...but knowing Wesley Clark and his demented brain, he's talking about you and I, working in America, paying our taxes, living in our homes, putting food on our tables the right way, then we need to include him into the ‘other’ style of living social life...

I am shocked. He was obviously talking about muslims:

" their family doesn't feel happy here "

“Weasely” Clark was despised in the military for being an ambitious worm dedicated to self promotion and personal aggrandizement.

Why should the author of the article be surprised? This is standard thinking for any collectivist. Just look at the past and then look at the present with the indoctrination of our children in government schools and re-education (aka ‘sensitivity training’) for those who don’t go along with the program.

They don’t tolerate dissent or an opinion that differs from theirs.
