“Minimal electronics, no satlink, no internet/wifi, etc....”
I have an Hp printer that allows only minimal functions because I refuse to let it access the Internet. My old printer did these things just fine without the Internet. It will be my last purchase from Hp.

I bought my wife a newer model hp wireless printer and set it up for her. I went thru the hp setup site and created an hp email address for her without telling her. Anybody with that address can email directly to the new printer thru our network. I gave my daughter the email address. When I knew my wife was sitting at her desk, I texted my daughter to email my wife at her printer. Daughter sent her a mushy note. It surprised my wife quite a bit for the printer to wind up and spit out a sheet.
Now, I’m thinking that was a mistake...and will probably take the printer offline and switch it to a USB cable.
