I’m sure you all have certain people who know how to get “stuff.”

Baltimore County and the entire state of Maryland is currently a test case with the racism argument used as a weapon.

I thought it only applied if your locality takes Federal money. On another thread the HUD announcement was posted and it explicitly stated that this was only possible due to the authorities granted by accepting various Federal monies.

However THIS article says discrimination lawsuits will be used as well. Meaning that the only thing possibly in it’s path is the 5-4 majority on the Supreme Court. Possibly, given Anthony Kennedy helped open this can of worms with his vote on that disparate impact case.

Cruz has said that the first thing he wants to do is repeal Obamacare. That won’t be enough. He would need to repeal the entire previous 8 years. Every law, Executive Order, and regulation that has come out of this administration needs to get the ax. Pretty much every SCOTUS decision too. While at it, every SCOTUS appointment. Maybe he would just need Hillary’s reset button.

There might be an easier way than resorting to arson and destruction.

Someone willing to take the associated legal risks (note, I’m pointing this out, not encouraging or advocating for it) could transplant some endangered species to any land designated for future high density projects. Then invite the ecowarriors in to shut it down.

I’m sure “conservatives” like John Kasich will be along at any time to explain why they’re willing to go along with this plan, rather than turn off the federal spigot to their states and municipalities.

which will allow them to move people from poor crime-ridden areas into “wealthy” suburbs.

I would bet my left tit that all suburbs affected will be Republican-leaning districts only. This is about diluting the GOP voting bloc. Oh, and exacerbating racial tensions which is what Obungo is all about.

I tend to side with you in that the ‘money’ persons want to establish their fun time domiciles where their money is. It will take a makeover to match such with the already privileged people of in the likes of Beverly Hills and Kennebunkport(?).

That’s part of the reason for moving the trash out of the cities to the suburbs, it frees up a lot of land for development.

I remember from 40-50 years ago seeing in magazines the plans for “revitalized” cities that liberal eggheads had drawn up and how they described how the very heart of the city would be set up.

A lot of the eggheads were into the population explosion BS and how we would need to take advantage of every square foot of land.

Single family homes would be replaced with high rise apartments to handle the increased population.

People would live right near where they worked.

That’s where the idea of the city being made up of rings within rings. The more space the business where you worked required the further out from the center of the city you would live because there was more space for your business.

The elites would live in the very center of the city because they only require office space to work.

My parents live in a city neighborhood that is maybe a mile as the crow flies from downtown.

A very modest two-bedroom house down the street (the late owner was a plumber of very modest means) just sold to some young urban gentrifying elitist transplants for $224,000!

No native Pittsburgher would have paid a cent over $70K for that house.

So your theory may be proving true. Elites, with more money than brains. Willing to over-over pay to be in the “right” zipcode.

A friend of mine sells real estate in Austin, TX.

He said the same thing is happening there.

Blacks are being forced out of their neighborhood because they can no longer afford the taxes. They can sell or loose the property to the tax man.

What he’s found to be the most bazar thing about people from the northeast, mainly NY, is how many have asked him where they can buy a slave.

The first couple of times someone asked him where they could buy a slave he thought they were joking then he realized they weren’t joking.

They should start with the suburbs in Virginia (near d.c.) - then east coast wealthy (and mostly liberal) areas, and they need to enforce this in Malibu and Beverly Hills...
