How true. It's not just that Trump isn't conservative. He's not "pissed off" either. Not a damn word the man says is authentic - he is quite simply saying stuff that he thinks (knows) will get him attention and admiration. Anyone who has paid even a tiny bit of attention to him over the course of his career can see exactly what is going on. And yet, to the Trumpettes......
I know he’s not a conservative, and I believe you’re correct that he’s probably not even really pissed off-what would a man in his position and with his socially liberal background have to be pissed about? Heck, this is probably all mere personal ambition. So politically, I don’t support him. But... I take great satisfaction in watching him move the GOPe candidates off-script. When they’re off-script, sometimes they forget themselves and show their true colors, including what they really think of conservatives (for those too oblivious to get it from their actions). I want everyone who considers themselves a conservative to see just how hard the GOPe will fight someone who threatens their gravy train. And who they will fight so hard, and it ain’t the rats. They’re in this Uniparty together.
