Jerry Brown Takes On Climate Change-Denying 'Troglodytes' - "We are talking about extinction."
Huffington Post ^ | July 21, 2015 | Mollie Reilly

California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) on Tuesday urged a group of 60 mayors to take action in their cities on climate change, warning that global warming is "the biggest threat of our time" and denouncing skeptics as "troglodytes."

At a climate change conference hosted by Pope Francis at the Vatican and attended by U.S. mayors and global leaders, Brown offered a dire assessment of climate change's potential effects in the near future.

"We don’t even know how far we've gone, or if we've gone over the edge,” Brown said. "This is not some linear set of problems that we can predict. We have to take measures against an uncertain future which may well be something no one ever wants. We are talking about extinction. We are talking about climate regimes that have not been seen for tens of millions of years. We're not there yet, but we're on our way."

Brown criticized politicians and business leaders who are skeptical of global warming and its effects as "troglodytes" who have a vested interest in "bamboozling" the public about man-made climate change.

Warmer weather is best for all earth except where the rich sunbathers have currentlt built their homes. Too bad for them. Plus.... The earth is cooling now.

First it was Huns, then communists - we had a little dust up with aliens in the 50's - then it was the "population bomb" in the 70's, aliens came back for a while, now it's the Sun which is going to kill us all. Oh, wait, - what? Asteroids? Oh, right - I wonder what it's going to be a hundred years from now?

They think we're are stupid as the people who vote expecting anything to change - oh . . .

It’s cute when troglodytes call others “troglodytes”.

Dear Jerry the Troglodyte Brown,

Shut up and put your club down. The golden state that you are attempting to destroy, is now getting some much needed rain because of climate change.

Lol. You and me both. We are probably the only two who associate Ron Perlman with a caveman whenever we hear his name. It was a quirky and even comedic role and he did a great job.

Are you also a fan of Perlman in The Name of the Rose? Another of my favorite movies. I loved the book as well.

In that picture he looks just like the leader of that cult (Heaven’s Gate?) that dressed up in jogging clothes and had $.65 in coin in their pockets (so they could call home from a pay phone in outer space, apparently) who all decided to catch a ride on the tail of Hale Bop comet some years ago, and ended up OD’ing on some bad shit, and died.

There are more wildfires in California than any other state. The leadership has not built a water impoundment reservoir since 1969. Almost 2 decades ago they stopped cutting underbrush which is the fuel for these fires. The leadership decide to save a smelt rather than human beings and farms which produce food for its population. The whole damn state is encouraging foreigners to break the law and enter the state illegally. This is the wisdom of the California leadership. They may well be headed for extinction there with this kind of planning, but the rest of the country is probably not going to follow.
