Unillateral release of the hostages by Iran should have been a precondition to entering into negotiations in the first place
The many years of sanctions were finally accomplishing their goal of putting the Iranian leadership in a position where they would face economic collapse and being driven from power by angry mobs if they did not dismantle their nuclear weapons programs
The Iranian economy was on path to implosion in the near term if sanctions were not lifted so Iranian radicals needed this deal very badly to keep themselves in power.
Releasing hostages was a no brainer to begin any negotiations.
Obama and Kerry are either the worst negotiations team in history or they intentionally committed treason by negotiating a deal they knew would be tantamount to giving a green light allowing Iran to get nuclear weapons weapons
He was desperate for a deal to save his so called ‘legacy’ that he not only sold those prisoners out but us as a country too. Disgusting, but par for the course with this guy when it comes to foreign policy especially.
