This was a non-threatening lone female traffic infraction stop. This became inordinately clear to this cop very quickly. He didn’t handle it right. There was no discretion used here. This didn’t need to happen. This cop wouldn’t recognize common sense discretion if it hit him broadside on Interstate 10.
It is easy to arm-chair quarterback the cop. At the time, her hostility made her a perceived threat to the cop. Also she had to do was comply with his lawful orders and it would be over. She chose to defy his authority and violate the law so she was wrong. That simple.
