It is a total insult to Sarah Palin to have Trump likened to her in this article. She was an effective elected governor and mayor. She was a serious candidate with a serious message.

There are really 2 schools of thought on Donald...

He’s a democratic plant looking to split the conservative vote for Hillary ala Perot.

He truly believes in the causes he is fronting, and is attempting to change the political conversation.

I don’t know which it is, but I can say that Donald will never pass the conservative purity test some want, he’s a pragmatist, as are most business leaders.. Yes they get things done and they drive things through, but at the end of the day they are at a certainly level pragmatic. His past is full of stands that many people who call themselves “true” conservatives will not like. He’s not a hard core conservative, and never will be, his father made his millions building government housing... he became successful with the help of his fathers money, not only to get started but to later bail him out when he got himself in trouble.

However, and this is what I think is really behind Donald’s rise, is that he’s speaking without hedging and without worrying about offending anyone. He’s stating things, (whether he truly believes them or not) without worrying that this group or that group doesn’t like.

Given the piss poor, and I do mean piss poor candidate pool on both sides of the isle, who knows how this will play out. I really don’t think he wants the Job, but I am not convinced he’s a plant for Hillary either.

If he does start a 3rd party run, and the numbers show he can’t possibly win, and he keeps running, they we will know what his game is.

A world wide rejection of Liberalism—a turn to the Right and the Man on the White Horse (or woman) coming to power. Rather a Trump than a Hillary, rather a LePen than a Sarkosy. It will be a new world-—We have been pushed too far.

“If Trump doesn’t apologize soon for speaking the truth about the criminal illegal aliens invading our country and for shoving it straight back into that RINO traitor’s face we’re going to have wimpy hyperventilating GOP-e RINOs flooding the emergency rooms all around the country.” - Jim Robinson (in reference to McCain and Lindsay Graham)

“FreeRepublic isn’t a Libertarian site, it is a God-Fearing Conservative site in the words of Jim Robinson.”

Just curious, are you referring to the same Jim Robinson who has voiced his support for Trump’s candidacy thus far?

Why are you making a BIG DEAL about it?

Because you are 180% degrees wrong, and as usual completely unaware of it.

I guess they are working up to labeling Trump a Nazi.

Has he filed articles of impeachment?

Ted Cruz can't file articles of impeachment because he is, you know, a Senator.

Jim is of course entitled to do whatever he wants here, but I have not heard him say anything to the effect that conservative opposition to Trump is not permitted. If he does, there may not be enough bandwidth on FR to handle all the opuses and zots.

Of course there can be opposition to Trump. My issue is that the usual cast of characters almost always suggests that anyone that supports what Trump is doing is either an idiot, moron, liberal, etc. If what they are suggesting is true, then you’d have to include Jim Robinson as he has openly supported what Trump is doing. That is my point.

Feel better now?

Note to the MSM: If he has done nothing else, Trump has transformed himself into a litmus test. The so-called "conservative" Republican politicians on Capitol Hill are showing their true colors. They've spouted the conservative message back home when running for office, but have voted as Democrat-lites once ensconced in Washington. However, these wolves in sheep clothing have reacted so viciously to Trump's popularity (deserved, or not), that their masks have slipped to show who and what they truly are: power-mad politicians who are interested in feathering their own nests to the detriment of those who voted for them.

I don't think the public is being mislead by Trump. I think they understand he is NOT a conservative. But, he is NOT a career politician either. He is what he is and THAT is why I believe he is leading the pack right now. We KNOW he hasn't asked God for forgiveness. How do we know this? Because he told us so instead of PRETENDING to be pious and humble like so many other elected officials. We KNOW he has committed adultery in his marriages. How do we know this? His life is an open book. How refreshing!

Unlike the lying sack of sh*ts that we have as our leading Republican/Democrat politicians. He's no Mark Sanford, John Edwards, Bill Clinton, etc. (hiding affairs and pretending to be faithful). McCain? Graham? Alexander? Corker? - just a few examples our esteemed politicians who give speeches sprinkled with conservative cliches and focus group derived platitudes -- they even claim to be Conservatives at times. But, Trump, is what he is and THAT's his draw.

Clearing this up (again). I am all in for Ted Cruz. But I’m loving every minute of Trump show. Hope he continues showing the rest how to go after the leftists, including the GOPe!! Damn the media and the hyperventilating RINOs, full steam ahead with direct (in your face) truth!!

Go, Trump, GO!!

Go, Cruz, GO!!

Ditto’s

Seeing as how the Idiot GOPe can’t sit back and let Trump take the heat - thereby the press is leaving them alone.

I guess the main concern with GOPe and LIBs is that both are afraid Trump will ‘wake up enough people’ to be taken VERY seriously, thereby hopefully bringing doom to the leeches and hangers on.

Unlike the mooches who can be bribed into voting (Of course when it is over you really (supposedly) don’t know who the person pulled the lever for.

The recent stay at homers just need someone with vision to try and keep the country from ‘going south’, will come out and vote
