MSNBC is considering a name change.
At a packed “town hall” meeting for MSNBC and NBC News staffers Thursday, the network’s news chief Andrew Lack said he is mulling a complete rebranding of the troubled cable news channel.
“Andy said he’s contemplating a name change because Microsoft is no longer a part of the channel — and hasn’t been for a long time,” an MSNBC staffer who was at the meeting told the Daily News.
“He asked for a show of hands,” of people who thought it was a good idea, the source said. “No one raised their hands and he moved on pretty quickly.”

I hear the American rights to “Pravda” can be had quite cheap.
MSNBC brand is linked to the concept of MAJOR SUCKAGE...but hey, change the name and leave the content in place and expect the public to be stupid enough to give it a try.

So finally they’ll make it official and change it to MSDNC.
Hey, they can change the name from MSNBC to Xfinity. That worked so well for Comcast...many folks didn’t realize that the poor cable quality and extremely poor customer service they were receiving from Xfinity was the same poor cable quality and extremely poor customer service they received from Comcast.
“DNC Daily Update” would seem the most appropriate choice, since they don’t even bother to edit the talking points they are sent and just read them verbatim on air.

Maybe getting rid of “Lean Forward” might help their ratings a tad while they are at it.
