Funny thing here in my home state of Illinois, these feral thugs murder each other by the dozens monthly, mostly with guns. But we also have a very decent CCW law. Now, I don’t believe ANY “license” should be required as a matter of principle.
That being said we are a “shall issue” State and as far as these laws go, ours are pretty good. Where I live you have to look hard to find a “gun free” establishment. Thugs are beginning to catch bullets launched by decent human beings, and that’s a good thing.
If you factor out just 8 neighborhoods Chicago becomes statistically as safe as Geneva Switzerland. And I don’t need to spell out the demographic of those neighborhoods.
