Murder is not acceptable, but adultery isn’t acceptable either. Her rage is understandable.

Anger is understandable. Responding violently is unacceptable.

If the sexes were swapped, and it was the husband trying to kill the wife over her cheating, would you say "His rage is understandable"? If you said that in public, your female friends would ostracize you, and your company's HR department would get complaints about your presence creating a "hostile work environment". Which they would act upon.

Unless you're female in real life, in which case you would get a pass.

Cheating is a shooting offense.

I certainly would.

It is an interesting sign of the perverted times we live in that this entirely understandable, very human, rage used to be a factor in mitigation of the crime of murder, when we have transformed into an aggravating one.

That's the message of Big Government. "It is wrong to feel what you feel. Feel something else instead. And if you don't, here come the judge".
