You can use all the cool social media you want, but if the message ain’t there, it’s a non-starter.

The fact that Boehner (and/or the party) hired a social content person (strategist) shows that the Republicans are making progress on the technology front, but as long as they position themselves as “Democratic Lite” politicians, they will lose the war.

Social media is all about personal, honest engagement. It’s about having one to one conversations with (in this case) millions of people. If your message sucks, it still sucks whether you’re on twitter, FB, instagram, etc.

Problem—The GOP are going for symbols and not sticking up for Republical Values. better to make the GOP Values cool than just posting what they think will make them look good to kids. Maybe have Rubio skateboard? Huskabee play Queen? Jebster ride a mountain bike or go rock climimng? Nope—As a child I learned from Mr. Lizard, the Wizard on the old Leonardo Lion Cartoon show: “Be what you is and not what your not. The folks that do this are the happiest lot!”
