The MSM has been on the receiving end of the stick for the entire Obama administration. Since day 1, the Obama press handlers have made it clear to the news organizations covering the White House they will be denied access and stories if they are critical of the President. As a result the media has failed to pursue stories of corruption or ask the president tough questions during interviews. The few times they come close to asking an embarrassing question of the WH press secretary, the WH spokesman gives a snarky response meant to shut them down, which it does.
The few times Obama sits down with a reporter one-on-one the questions are clearly carefully crafted, screened in advance by the WH, and responded to with a carefully scripted answer by Obama. Lighting and camera angle are all staged to make Obama look his best. These are propaganda productions, not unscripted interviews. The press is completely compliant.
What Trump is doing is no different from Obama. He is telling the press if you cross me in the least, I’ll freeze you out. Exactly how many times has Obama been interviewed on Fox News in six years? How many times does a senior cabinet official from the Obama administration show up on the Fox Sunday morning show?
The media all too well understands the stick.
