Central Asian Kyrgyzstan and the United States inked a cooperation deal in 1993 and the strategically located nation hosted a key US military base supplying the war effort in Afghanistan until 2014.

Kyrgyzstan, however, has pursued a strongly pro-Russian foreign policy since incumbent President Almazbek Atambayev was elected in 2011.

Washington warned Monday that any move to sever the agreement “could put assistance programs that benefit the Kyrgyzstani people in jeopardy”. …

Shedding friends and allies of the United States has been one top agenda item for Barack Obama. The Middle East must rise, Russia is ignored and the US crippled. The “Asian pivot” is long forgotten. Let’s talk guns. Again.

Obama is really multi-tasking.

Obama’s greatest accomplishment and legacy will be his undoing of almost 70 years of hard won gains in diplomacy in just eight. Frankly, it would actually take serious effort and skill to do worse; incompetence and stupidity alone cannot account for the results.

I don’t think that any president in memory will be walking into a worse circumstance on the world stage that the winner in 2016 will be facing.

But the good news is, that they love us now. No, really, they do.

“Obama, is there anything he can’t screw up?”

Probably not. And consider this, which should put a chill down the spine of any thinking person: he won’t be quietly retiring to Kennebunkport. After the nearly unimaginable achievement of outdoing Carter as the worst President in recent memory, I’m not seeing him having even the slightest problem of achieving new lows as an ex-President.

As bizarre as the name Barack Hussein Obama is, if he wants to be UN Sec-General he will have to change it to something like Barack Barack Udan Buttmunch.
